There are schools where each student has their own computer, or at least access to a computer lab. Unfortunately, that is not the case at our school, which puts our students at a disadvantage. The three computers we have are too slow and freeze when the students are using them; and we don't have the time to stare at a frozen screen. It has come to the point where we do not use them at all.
My students are eager to learn and often ask if they can use the old computers that sit in the back of the classroom. Unfortunately, I have to tell them that they simply do not work. I saw the excitement in their eyes when they had the opportunity to use the computers, and I would love to see that look in their eyes again.
