My students attend a large Title I elementary school that's full of diversity and struggling or reluctant readers, but with few books that children want to read. I feel many of them would read if only we had those just right, high-interest books. However, because the students are not reading as much as needed, we are not closing the reading gaps like we need to. I think getting the right books in their hands is one of the solutions to this problem.
