In the heart of a bustling urban neighborhood, there stands a vibrant and diverse school serving students from PreK to 8th grade. This school is a microcosm of the city itself, with children from various cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds coming together to learn and grow. The hallways echo with a symphony of languages, and the classrooms are filled with a rich tapestry of different traditions and perspectives. Despite the school’s many strengths, it faces significant challenges, particularly in supporting students’ emotional and behavioral needs. The fast-paced environment, coupled with the stresses of urban life, often leaves students feeling overwhelmed and struggling to manage their emotions.
