Students begin their day by appropriately learning to follow instruction by learning to be good listeners. A key component of this is learning to keep their hands to themselves and learning to stay in their designated space.
Aside from behavior and organization, this carpet serves for instruction as well. There are many activities which will involve the color or shape that a student is sitting on. This in turn helps students learn their colors and shapes! We also do counting activities, games and dancing on our carpet. It truly in an integral part of our class! We learn and play on our carpet!
