My students need different hands-on materials such as letter sound bins and math games to enhance their learning capabilities! I am also requesting sensory stimulating items such as magic water marbles and a hop-along ball that will provide much needed sensory breaks for my students. The chairs I have requested will help my students remain focused during whole-group and small-group activities.
It is very important that students with autism are provided with sensory breaks throughout their day. I am hoping to meet the sensory needs of my students so that they can be even more successful in academic learning. The materials I choose for my classroom will help my students gain a sense of wholeness through sensory play.
