My school is a Title I school. We have a high percentage of students who receive free and reduced price lunch. In these economically challenging times, parents are working more than one job to support their families. This makes it hard for them to find time to sit down and read stories to their children. Many of my students have not been to a pre-kindergarten program and have never been exposed to the joy of learning.
