I teach in a school that is high poverty, 59% are economically disadvantaged. We have a number of students who are homeless. My school also has a high transiency rate. Just in my classroom alone I have had over 50% of my class come and go this year. Many are also here in the United States for the first time and English is not their first language. Our school is very culturally diverse.
