My students are between the ages of 7 and 9. They attend a general education classroom and are an inquisitive bunch. Their academic abilities are quite varied. Some students excel in math but struggle greatly in reading and writing. In other cases, the opposite is true. In this grade they are supposed to be transitioning from picture books to the pictures they create in their own minds through chapter books.
