I have a combination class of 4th and 5th grade students who are in a Special Day Class. All of my students are struggling readers and mathematicians. They are very sweet students who want to learn and try their best, but they continue to struggle. So with the Samsung Galaxy tablet, it will facilitate and enhance the learning of all my visual and auditory learners.
My students come from a low socio-economic area. About 70% of my parents do not communicate in English and over 80% of my students use Spanish at home. All of my students receive free lunch. Most of my students’ parents either work more than one job or are working parents who work night jobs. So, it is difficult for them to be involved most of the time in their child’s education.
