I teach fourth grade at a low income school. We have a population of about 2000 students from first to fifth grade. Our school have 1 computer lab with about 20 computers. Needless to say it is difficult to find a consistent computer time for my students. In our own classroom, we have 1 very old computer that we use for Accelerated Reading and Accelerated Math and a laptop used to supplement our daily lessons. I do the best I can with what little technology we have available. But I see the impact technology have on them when I do use it. They are fascinated, even mesmerize by the animation. I see them enjoying learning. That is what I want to give my students- the the joy of learning!
