As we try to organize to make remote (at-home) learning accessible and age appropriate for preschoolers, we are struggling to get hands-on materials that they can use for on-line lessons.
We want each child to have a basket of hands-on materials and manipulatives that they can interact with as we do on-line lessons. We want our on-line interactions to encourage play-base learning, develop curiosity and to create a positive learning experience. These kits will focus on S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) learning in a way that will allow children to explore at their own pace and allow the teachers to lead learning experiences in a fun and individualized way, while adapting to our new teaching situation (and the first school-based learning experience for most of our students).
