My students are bright, amazing, gifted kids just beginning the transition from childhood to adolescence. Our school campus is large--nearly 1800 students! My students come to this campus with rich and varied cultural, religious, and linguistic backgrounds. Being a magnet program, our students also come to us with varied economic profiles; approximately 50% of the student body receives free or reduced lunch. In the midst of this sea of diversity, they are all just figuring out who they are, what is important to them, and slowly becoming the people they are meant to be.
