My school is in an urban neighborhood in Southern California. The majority of my students arrived in kindergarten as Spanish speakers, and most qualify for free or reduced lunch. However, while my students may face many challenges such as acquiring English as a second language and living in poverty, they have many assets as well. Many of my students are proficient and advanced on our state test, and all of my students are hard-working, enthusiastic learners. They are also very technologically savvy and love to use technology in their learning!
