I've been teaching 3rd grade for the past few years at Topeka Charter Elementary and I was recently notified that I will be teaching 5th grade next school year. I am very excited about this change, as I truly enjoy working with upper elementary students. In the past two years, I experimented with using Chromebooks in the classroom. My students thrive on using technology in the classroom. We use Google Classroom to complete power point projects, practice reading and writing skills, and to complete class assignments. I am an innovative teacher who loves trying new things to keep my students motivated. My students work as a team to learn and they enjoy completing challenging group projects together. In fifth grade, I will have 34 students, with a significant group of GATE students. I am excited to begin my new adventure in fifth grade!
