My students attend a very diverse school in the heart of Los Angeles. There are more than 15 different languages spoken at the school. Many of the parents are new immigrants and cannot afford to provide their children with necessary school supplies. While we have some parent participation, a lot of our parents work and do not have the opportunity to contribute either time or money to our school.
