I have one of the most fun jobs in the world! I spend my days with sixth graders. Beat that! I teach all subjects ranging from language arts to science. I also add curriculum that I find relevant such as solar energy.
My school is in an odd situation. The families of the students are of a low-middle socioeconomic class, but the school isn't "failing" enough to receive Title 1 funds. It is hard to equip the school with up-to-date equipment and materials.
All of my students are minorities with very hard-working families. Many parents come home late at night and only see their kids when they're running off to school in the morning.
