Our kids are faced by many challenges every day. Not only do they have severe special needs, like Autism, but they live in one of the most impoverished cities in Southern California. Growing up in the city of Santa Ana is a challenge for any child, but when you add to that their disabilities; the obstacles to success can seem insurmountable. Many of our children don't have any positive peer relationships or friends because of their social difficulties. Just a day or two spent getting to know our kids helps typical students to understand that our kids are not scary or dangerous, just different.
About my class
