My students are 4th/5th graders who are mostly below grade level, either because they had an interrupted education or because of a language barrier. They attend a public school that is located in the South Bronx; a neighborhood that is considered to be predominantly a poor neighborhood and their parents have very little resources. This carpet will help give them the organized, bright, and inviting classroom they deserve. I will use this carpet to help them have clear systems and structures which will increase instructional time, independence and autonomy over their own learning.
