I plan on differentiating instruction with literature circles. That is why I ordered 4 each of certain titles. Each student is at a certain zone of proximal development. I can reach each child with a variety of books. I would start at their current reading level and build on their vocabulary as I change their books once they have mastered the first one. In doing this, I hope to increase student reading levels and instill a stronger interest in reading. My hope is to increase their love for reading long beyond my classroom and to increase their reading levels to be prepared for college.
