Our school is socio-economically challenged and our students don't get to benefit from the technology and other supplies that more affluent schools have. We are a public school, with great kids who are continuously making great jumps on recent high stakes tests in our state. They are highly motivated and willing to go far, as long as they are nudged and given the opportunity to do so. In the case of our department, we push them to go on to AP Spanish Language and Literature classes, in order for them to be prepared for a college education and bright future.
