My students are first graders at a year round school. They come from low income families. They all come to school eager to learn. They love to learn new things. I have 2 computers that work and 22 students who have to share them. We don't have a printer. It is difficult to allow all the students to get a daily turn at the computer. Another source of technology would give them the opportunity to have a turn to learn new things and become better readers.
