My students are very enthusiastic learners and require hands on activities to learn and discover new things. Working in small groups not only helps support their individual needs, but it also provides them with opportunities to explore materials on their own and with encouragement from adults it helps them to become more curious and initiate questions and make comments about the materials they are exploring. We work in small groups everyday and my students have become bored of using the same activities and games that I currently use for small groups. They have outgrown and mastered the activities and now need new materials to be challenged with. The new activities and games that I have requested will challenge our students during small group time and reduce boredom and increase active learning and participation again.
