My students need electronic tablets to do all the things that will make them successful in this 21st century learning environment. Many of my students do not have access to computers and the internet at home. By having a tablet in class, I can allow those students the opportunity to learn through interactive math, reading, and language apps to help make them successful. Tablets are a great tool for my English language learners (I have diverse classes, with students that come from various backgrounds and speak different languages... Romanian, German, Chinese, Japanese, New Zealand, and South America.) By using tablets, they can learn English and translate better to have more understanding of lessons taught. My students can work on real-world problem solving applications for math concepts, develop reading comprehension skills, and be able to learn simple coding, all of which will challenge them.
