I teach 19 energetic first graders who have an incredible imagination. They are engaged young children who live in an low social-economic inner city neighborhood. Our school is in a high poverty elementary with many children who don't have access to books at home. English is a second language for a majority of the students in my classroom and I am looking to create an inviting classroom environment where all learners feel comfortable exploring and discovering.
