My students live in a low income neighborhood where experiences is not experienced through family trips or even virtual trips using technology. Instead, my students get their experiences and creativity through books. What I admire of my students is that they have this craving for reading books to gain knowledge and share with others what they have learned. Not only do books help my students with imagination, but books help with fluency and comprehension skills that they do not get to practice at home.
