My special day class is made up of students with various disabilities and needs. In the classroom they enjoy art, music, and exploration time. They enjoy school and often cheerfully enter their classroom and start their daily routine happily. Each of my students are unique with different personalities, needs and functioning levels. What they do have in common is that they are delightful and obviously love school. I have students who are often frustrated because they are not able to express themselves. The outcome of this frustration is a sudden tantrum often accompanied by bouts of crying fits. There are others who are able to express themselves, but have difficulties socializing and playing with peers. They are encouraged to play, take turns and share with their friends in class.
