Our school is a Pre- K -5th grade city school in Maine. About 80% of our students live in poverty. Close to half of our students are English Language Learners and many of these children enter speaking little or no English. Many of our families are homeless. A large number of our children have had little or no experience with rural, farm and forest settings, but they are eager to learn!
