I pride myself on keeping a creative classroom. Allowing the students to create their own family crests, poetry books or symbolic poems gives them the ability to show me their other strengths. Of course, we could use digital platforms to be artistic , but I believe markers, glue and scissors, the basics, bring out the best in all.
During these unprecedented times, I can no longer keep big boxes of supplies in the classroom. In order to continue out creative projects, I’d like to supply each of my students with craft supplies.
I teach 5 eighth grade classes, so this means 160 craft boxes. It’s a big undertaking, but nothing is too big when I see their smiling faces.
