My students come from a low income, rural area in South Carolina. They face numerous challenges on a regular basis. After high school, these students will take their first steps into the "real world." They need all of the positive reinforcement and preparedness that is available to them.
Many of my students come from working-class backgrounds with traditional values. Some are more fortunate than others. Regardless, it is my job to level their playing field so that all have a chance to be successful.
