My students are in the fifth and sixth grade of a high poverty area in New York. They are receiving speech and language services as part of their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). They have difficulties with social skills, vocabulary, speech sounds, and comprehension of language. This impacts their performance in the classroom. I have about 60+ students that come to speech and language therapy as a pull-out service to address skills they are having difficulties with. I work with students with Learning Disability, Autism, ADHD, and more. Many of my students lack support at home educationally.
