Students learn in different ways and require different accommodations to be successful. The items in this project will help students focus better by allowing them to fidget and move while they are working. this gives students choices and helps them recognize their learning and sensory needs. This also helps cut down on behavior concerns because they don't have to sit in the same spot all day.
My students make more progress and retain information better when they are allowed to move when they are working. The standing desk and stool will allow students to fidget with their feet. The ball chairs will all students to bounce while they work. Students respond very well to sensory integration as well being able to choose what they need.
