Hurricane Michael has forever changed our students' lives. While some families suffered only minor damages, others have lost EVERYTHING. SO MUCH of my classroom was damaged by the hurricane. I've lost thousands of dollars in personal and school funded items . Currently, my room is barren, but ready for my students to come back. As we begin school again, I'd like for the students' classroom to look as warm and inviting as it did before the storm.
My students need warmth, comfort, and stability in their lives after the hurricane. Replacing items lost in the storm will make our classroom feel whole again. Our morning meetings can be once again held on our classroom carpet, and we can put our learning tools away on the shelves in the cabinet. They will once again know where not only their things belong, but also where THEY belong.
