Our classroom is made up of 25 children who are English Language Learners, Students with Disabilities and others who come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. These children come to school to learn, grow and thrive. Some of them have a difficult time focusing due to obstacles they face daily.
Flexible seating allows children to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. It helps keep young minds more alert and focused.
Our students can only benefit from having more barrier free opportunities, which come from creating an environment for them to do so.
