Due to our community being rural and not all of our families having internet access, we prioritize in-person instruction. Therefore, we try to create an inviting atmosphere in our classrooms. If my project is fully-funded, students will be given more flexible seating options.
I am planning on getting rid of eight of the desks in my classroom that are connected to chairs and in poor shape, replacing them with these desks. These new desks can seat two students and can be used individually or set up in groups, so students can work collaboratively in groups of four. Collaboration is key in our global economy. I am excited about the seating options and learning opportunities these desks would afford my students!
