I work at the best school ever and we have the best group of students in the world! My students LOVE to read interesting books, and thrived greatly in 4th grade through Book Clubs. Wonder would inspire my students to engage in deep, meaningful conversations about themes such as differences, bullying, acceptance, and perseverance. All students in the school know my love of quotes and how I use quotes from literature to teach life lessons, Wonder is full of these quotes. My students inspire me each and every day. They are enthusiastic learners with a genuine love of learning. I watched them grow as 4th graders to become true lovers of reading.
My school has a very diverse population and it always amazes me how well are students work together and truly support one another. Our school motto is: "Teamwork makes the dream work," which is true in every sense of the word.
I will have 30 nervous, and impressionable 5th graders entering my classroom this fall and making a huge transition.
