My class is a mixture of enthusiastic African American, Jamaican, Haitian, Guyanese, Indian, Puerto Rican, Peruvian, Cuban, Columbian, Vietnamese, Costa Rican, and Venezuelan kindergrtners. As you can assume, the differences in cultures are varying. The one thing my students all have in common is they are all on free lunch and they come from economically disadvantaged families.
