The school that I currently work at has a variety of students ranging from special education to gifted and talented. We serve about 680 students each year. 63% of the students in our school are white, 29% black, 5% Hispanic, and the remainder are Asian Pacific or American Indian. About 430 of these students receive subsidized meals so that should let you know that we need all the support that we can get because money is very limited in this area.
