I teach a self contained special education class in a low income district in New York State. This group of all third grade boys, live below the poverty level, and have a wide variety of disabilities. However, they all have the ability and desire to become fluent readers. With your help my active group of boys will have a comfortable place to relax with a book, which is something most of them do not have at home.
