My students attend public school in Florida. My school is a Title I school due to our large low-income student population. In addition, we are a bilingual center that offers bilingual classes to qualifying students in our school and surrounding schools. Recent research indicates that when our students graduate high school, they are not equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in college. We must rise to the occasion, and this can be a daunting task without support.
