My students love to read and especially be read to. Having a Kindle Fire would allow my students to listen and read along with me. It would help increase their fluency, word recognition, but most importantly motivate them to read. Having all of the text available to me would allow me to provide students with opportunities to read independently, in small groups, or as a whole class.
