My students face economic challenges and language barriers. Over 90% of my students are English language learners. In addition, they live in poverty and do not have the supplies they need at home. With the increased budget cuts in education, it is getting harder and harder to provide them with the supplies they need. Coding and programming is an engaging way to develop problem solving skills, however most of my students do not have access to devices to use to develop these skills. I want to be able to provide that for them at school.
