My students are members of our eighth grade science classes at a public school junior high, in a rural county in the Southeast U.S. Many of our families struggle to have the resources necessary for their children and most of the county does not have access to high speed broadband.
Our students come to us with a diversity of learning styles and achievement levels. Our school has an enriching ethnic diversity. My students enjoy working collaboratively to complete their inquiry based projects. Many of my students struggle to read but their innate curiosity is strong and needs to be encouraged.
