I teach energetic, 4th graders in a small, rural, elementary school in Maryland. With me being the ONLY 4th grade teacher, I teach a very diverse group of students that I must accommodate. I have students with attention issues, learning disabilities, and emotional problems. All of my students work hard, yet have trouble at times staying focused when sitting in the classroom all day long. I feel that stability balls will be beneficial to my students' concentration and motivation in the classroom. In turn, this will help my students succeed on the state assessments and help them receive proficient grades in 4th grade.
