My students are in second grade at a Title I low-income school in Chicago where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Students within my classroom represent many different cultures from around the world. Many of my students are English language learners from hardworking families. Each student brings their own traditions and beliefs to share with their peers. This drives their curiosity and eagerness to learn about one another and the world around them. Every year I work to build a classroom that is a safe, inviting, well-balanced community that instills the love of learning in each one of the students. These students are entrusted into my care every day to receive the best educational experience possible, and it is my goal to open the minds and hearts of my students to lifelong learning.
