Our school uses the workshop model to teach reading. Students read a lot all the time. They choose high-interest books at their reading level. They talk about books with their peers, teachers and families. They learn about their world and themselves through rich texts and engaging stories.
Our students need a wide variety of quality books on different topics at different reading levels. We are a tiny school with a very limited budget, so our book selection is limited. With these books added to our classroom library, students will be able to choose books which captivate their interest, teach them valuable lessons, and improve their reading skills. Our students will greatly benefit from these materials!
