We are a Title 1 school located in Utah. Most of my students come from very low-income families and have had little experiences outside of their apartments. My students are from 7 different countries, 78% of my students speak English as their second language. Despite all of these obstacles, my students are bright and eager to learn new things. I have only been teaching for 2 years and our classroom lacks the materials to help the students discover the world around them, and in 6th grade, the students learn about the solar system, galaxies, and the universe. I would love my students to have the opportunity to discover and learn about our solar system, and the stars in the sky.
