After learning from home for over a year, my students are anxious, ready and excited to come to class and learn with a more hands on approach. My goal for this project is to provide my students with more STEM manipulatives such as Magna-Tiles that will help them rediscover how fun learning can be. Hands-on learning is proven to be more effective at helping students grasp what they're taught. Research shows that hands-on learning has a significant impact in many ways including better engagement with both sides of the brain and longer lasting effects for retaining information taught. Also, If learning from home becomes a reality again, I would be able to send each student with fun and engaging learning tools.
