At a school where roughly half the students are multiple grade levels behind in reading, I work to ensure that students have access to independent reading books they want to read. Instead of a full-time library, we have a part-time Book Room open for students and I have had every class come choose an independent reading book at the start of the year. These titles are ones that I do not have that students have requested. Please help provide them!
The most important thing about independent reading is that kids will actually do it, so I hope to be able to give students these requested books.
