I am a teacher at a school that is located in a lower socioeconomic area. My school is a Title 1 school, which means that the school receives aid from the government. This aid includes, but is not limited to, a free lunch program for all students. The school is currently a Program Improvement school. This means that the school has been designated as "low performing" within our district, but we are making strides towards achieving our academic goals. Despite the school's current circumstances, I consider my students to be full of potential and very eager to learn. They just need the right resources and materials to help them meet their full potential.
