The classroom consists of eighteen firs grade students. Seventy-eight percent of the students are Hispanic. The remaining students are African-American. The majority of the students receive ESL services because Spanish is their native language.
The school, located in a low-income urban community, provides the only technology for many of these students. Despite economical challenges, the students are eager to learn.
